Sara joined Helmholdt + Company in 2026 as a Staff Accountant after completing a tax season internship with the firm. She works on a variety of client engagements, including business and individual income tax returns, financial statement preparation, and other accounting projects.

Sara graduated from Hope College in 2026 with a double major in Business and Accounting and a minor in Political Science. During her time at Hope, she was a member of the women’s golf team and enjoyed being involved both in the classroom and on the course.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys staying active and making the most of Michigan summers. Whether she’s golfing, playing pickleball, or spending time outdoors, she enjoys any chance to be outside. She also loves traveling, cheering on her favorite sports teams, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends.
