Remembering David Anderson
We are saddened to announce that our partner, mentor and friend Dave Anderson passed away Monday evening, May 18, 2015. Dave was a gentle and caring soul, who loved the Lord deeply. Dave loved his family dearly, enjoyed the outdoors through sailing and cycling, and had a passion for his clients and co-workers in his chosen profession of public accounting. He was always willing and eager to assist, whether consulting with his clients, training staff members, or acting as a sounding board for issues that others faced. Dave battled cancer courageously, and continually exhibited optimism and peace throughout his struggle and pain.
Dave graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Accounting. He began his professional career working in the audit department of a “Big 8” accounting firm, and quickly passed the CPA examination. Dave later founded his own accounting firm and ran it successfully for over twenty years. In his practice, Dave emphasized long-term advisory relationships, pro-active planning, and the use of technology and systematic processes to improve efficiency. Dave’s desire to bring broader professional support to his clients and our appreciation of his work-ethic and business practices led us to merge our firms in 2011. Dave was a valued partner of our firm and will be remembered for his technical knowledge and skill, easy-going personality, dry wit, and exemplary client service.
Dave will be sorely missed by his family, friends, clients and colleagues. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to his wife Lori, and their children and grandchildren, in this difficult circumstance. Dave was a man of faith who fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. We take comfort in knowing that he is with our risen Lord and Savior, giving glory to God, freed from his pain and suffering.
